Nissan 185 mph ZEOD RC electric prototype

Nissan's simply force the covers off its whimsically titled ZEOD RC racing car that will eventually hit speeds of up to 300km/h (about 185mph). tho' the descriptor stands for "zero emissions, on demand," the vehicle might find yourself being a hybrid model that switches between gas and ev modes (as against a pure electrical car) by the time it hits le Mans in 2014. Regardless, the company's Nismo sport division (creator of the all-electric Nismo RC) plans to enter it within the so-called Garage 56 category of the renowned race, reserved for vehicles that showcase breakthrough technology. whereas the corporate flaunted the {design|the planning|the look} at Circuit de la Sarthe in France these days, the automotive will not begin trials till later this summer, once that the ultimate drivetrain are going to be chosen. before touch the track, though, it's going to have its work cut out simply to prime Toyota's P001, this ev lap-speed champ.
