Facebook Email Address - Its about to go

Did you recognize you've got a Facebook email address? Neither will anyone else. And that’s why yesterday Facebook proclaimed that it absolutely was retiring its public email system, that has been alive since Gregorian calendar month 2010.

Users work into Facebook can shortly see (or have already received) the subsequent message at the highest of their screens.

Facebook offers additional explanation here.

A Facebook interpreter told news websites that the social network ditched its tired email service as a result of it needed to “focus on rising our mobile electronic messaging expertise.” there's no mention of Facebook’s recent $19 billion acquisition of uber texting service WhatsApp, however be happy to draw your own conclusions.

Any messages sent to your existing address will be automatically forwarded to the email address you gave Facebook when you signed up

According to a Facebook spokesperson, Facebook will continue to run all emails through its spam filters before forwarding them. Senders will not be able to see your primary email address

The changes should roll out in early to mid-March. At that point, you’ll be able to disable forwarding.
